NHS SHEFFIELD
Explainer "How to" VideosThe Challenge
Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS commissioned us to produce a series of “how to” videos, highlighting the importance of carbohydrate counting. The videos needed to convey how to accurately count the carbohydrates in food. They required the videos to be presenter led and in a kitchen environment with graphics and animation supporting the visuals.
The Solution
Firstly we met with the hospital team and did a recce of the teaching hospital kitchen to see if it would be viable to film in it. On discovering that staff heavily used this, we knew that filming in a live kitchen would present problems with sound and people accessing it throughout the day. So we decided to employ the use of a chroma-key (green screen) background to film the presenter in front of which would be replaced in post with a kitchen background. We then decided to to film the presenter from two angles, one facing straight on to capture the presenter and one over head to capture the action on the table. This was all put together in post with animation, graphics and music to create a series of informative videos which will be used in their teaching.
